Trusted efficacy of maropitant

Elmaro is a maropitant injectable solution. In veterinary medicine, maropitant has become a molecule of reference. 

Maropitant, a centrally acting neurokinin-1 receptor antagonist, is the first drug in its class to be approved to treat and prevent vomiting in cats and dogs. Suitable for both subcutaneous and intravenous use. 

Indicated for cats and dogs

Elmaro is indicated to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting in cats and dogs. 

  • Dog
    • Prevention of vomiting (except that induced by motion sickness)
    • Prevention of perioperative nausea and vomiting and improvement in recovery from general anaesthesia after use of morphine
    • Treatment and prevention of nausea induced by chemotherapy
    • Treatment of vomiting in combination with other supportive measures
  • Cat
    • Prevention of vomiting & reduction of nausea (except that induced by motion sickness)
    • Treatment of vomiting in combination with other supportive measures
