Credelio Quattro contains four active ingredients designed to deliver comprehensive efficacy in parasite protection:

Lotilaner is a fast-acting parasiticide used to control ticks and fleas in dogs. It’s a member of the isoxazoline class of parasiticides that controls these pests by targeting their nervous system.

Moxidectin, a highly lipophilic macrocyclic lactone, targets glutamate-gated ion channels of invertebrates and filarial nematodes. This lipophilicity helps it have a high tissue distribution and long elimination half-life, resulting in the muscle paralysis and death of heartworms in the L3 and L4 stage – ultimately preventing heartworm disease.

Praziquantel is an effective treatment for 3 species of tapeworms. Pyrantel pamoate is an established treatment for a wide variety of intestinal worms and starts working in a matter of hours. It’s a depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent, causing paralysis which forces the worm to lose its grip on the intestinal wall and then pass through the dog.

Credelio Quattro offers the broadest^† parasite protection in an isoxazoline endectocide, covering 6 types of parasites, available in a monthly flavored chewable tablet. Unlike other chewables, Credelio Quattro protects against 6 types of parasites and works fast, so nothing comes between you and your patients protection. The active ingredient, lotilaner, has been proven to kill ticks^‡ twice as fast^§ as sarolaner in Simparica Trio and afoxolaner in NexGard¹. Credelio Quattro kills adult fleas, treats and prevents flea infestations, prevents heartworm disease, and treats and controls infections of the three intestinal worms with the greatest zoonotic risk – roundworms, hookworms^*, and tapeworms. This one-of-a-kind protection comes in a tasty, easy-to-administer chewable approved for use in dogs and puppies as young as 8 weeks weighing 3.3 pounds or more.

No. Credelio Quattro is only approved for use in dogs. However, Credelio^® CAT (lotilaner) contains lotilaner, one of the active ingredients used in Credelio Quattro, which provides fast-acting protection from ticks, kills adult fleas, and treats and prevents flea infestations.

Credelio Quattro has been demonstrated safe for dogs as young as 8 weeks old and weighing as little as 3.3 lbs.

If a dose is missed, a new dose should be given immediately. If vomiting occurs within an hour after administration, readminister a new dose. Then, continue with the prescribed monthly dosing schedule.

Credelio Quattro should be administered once a month, every month, to dogs and puppies 8 weeks of age and older and 3.3 pounds or greater to provide year-round protection.

Yes. For full efficacy against ticks and fleas, instruct pet owners to always give their dog Credelio Quattro with food or within 30 minutes of a meal. The presence of food ensures that peak blood levels and exposures of lotilaner are of achieved, which is necessary for initial and ongoing efficacy.

Splitting of Credelio Quattro tablets is not recommended.

Content uniformity of whole and half tablets has not been established. Therefore, Credelio tablets are not scored and splitting of Credelio tablets is not advisable. A variety of tablet sizes have been developed to allow for accurate dosing according to a dog’s weight. 

Credelio Quattro comes in a tasty beef-flavored chewable tablet that's meat allergen-free².

No stability testing has been performed on tablets once they have been removed from the blister pack. We do not recommend taking the tablets out of the blister pack for storage in another container. Credelio Quattro tablets should only be taken out of the blister pack at the time of dosing.
